London: Hodder & Stoughton Limited, 1952. Clean red cloth on boards with black titles and Biggles on the telephone. Light thin sunning to head of spine and to bottom boards edges. Edges: light browning & foxings. Name stamp to ffep , to title page and 3x to refp. Light foxings to a few pages. Binding is VG albeit ever so slightly cocked. 158p Dj: moderate soiling and rubbed wear. Top and bottom edges with some small open sections missing, tears & chips. 3 x 2 cm tear to rear jacket onto spine.. First Edition. Hb. VG/VG. Illus. by Stead.
