Fully bound in brown leather with elaborate blind stamping to front and rear boards, gilt-stamped spine laiid back down, has scuffs, rubbed joints suggest both boards have been reattached at some point and at that time, two blank leaves were inserted after the front free endpaper and one blank leaf was inserted at rear. As often happens with this book, uneven shrinkage of the albumen plates have led to waviness of all pages, Prelims show fragility at fore-edges; a little foxing to first portrait (Ogden); and some.other portraits have very light foxing at left margin of page and not near image.
