About This Item
North Hills, PA: Bird & Bull Press, 1972.. Oblong octavo. Quarter vellum and pastepaper over boards, fore-edges untrimmed. As often, the section printing J. Blumenthal's contribution -- paper made from some of his old pillowcases -- exhibits foxing that affects slightly the adjacent leaves, otherwise fine, with the prospectus laid in. First edition. One of 140 numbered copies printed in part on dampened Hodgkinson's handmade paper and bound by the Eberhardts. The primary text relates to damp printing on power presses, with a miscellany including a letter from Joseph Blumenthal, text by De Vinne on machine printing and other relevant articles. TAYLOR & MORRIS A14.
