HB. 8vo, orig. dec. cloth, stamped in dark blue to front board, gilt to spine, rubbed, corner bumped, spine faded; half-title and final page slightly browned; edges uncut. Vg.. Second issue (published in the same year as the first). Photographs by T.A. Cotton.[Bibliographical note: we have seen two slightly variant issues of this 'second issue' - this copy has gilt title to spine, cream endpapers, and has a cancel title page which does not state 'Second and cheaper issue' to title page, but is othwerise identical (it does have 'Prefatory Note to the Second Issue' on p. vii). It also does not include the 4 pages of publishers adverts at the beginning and 3 at the end, although a half-title is present with list of other works by the same author to verso.].
