Oxford University Press, 1940. Hardcover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 1940. No edition stated. 228 pages. Illustrated jacket over green cloth with gilt titles to spine. Map endpapers. Includes photographic plates. Upper text block edge green. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Previous owner's inscription to heavily tanned pre title page. Several plates detached and a bit warped too. Text block edges heavily foxed and dusty. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. Gilt is bright. Clipped jacket has heavy edgewear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Jacket is highly rubbed and marked overall. Price sticker to front flap. A few liquid droplet marks.
