Edinburgh: David Douglas. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1905. First Edition. Hardcover. Some spots of staining to boards. Joints rubbed. 6mm loss of cloth at tips of corners of boards. Gutters split at hinges. Some foxing. Each of the maps has some foxing and an 80mm tear. ; This copy with piece of note paper with presentation inscription from the author posted to half-title page. The inscription reads: "Miss Catherine Hester Ralfe / from her affectionate nephew / P. G. Ralfe". lv, [1], 321, [1], [2 (advertisements)] pages + 50 illustrations on 48 plate leaves + 2 colour folding maps. Title leaf printed by photogravure. The maps are "Map of the Irish Sea" and "Map of the Isle of Man". Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and illustration on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 218 x 142mm. Top page edge gilt. .
