A copy with a Publisher's variant binding and probably bound up later than the usual, more decorative binding with "second edition" blocked to the spine. Pp. [2], xxvi, 271, [4]; large fold out map, in text and plate illustrations throughout by Lodge and others. Green cloth binding good, repair to head of the front joint, cloth a little marked and some rubbing to extremities. Contents good and tight, no foxing, tan end-papers browned and a little chipped at fore-edge and hinge, which has been repaired to the front. A good copy in a variant binding..
