Very good pocket sized hardcover (6 by 41/2 inches) is green cloth with page edges red, blindstamp decoration to covers and spine and gilt to spine and cover, that shows rubbing and shelf wear to covers with touch of fray to ends and corners, light soil at page edges and some other mild wear. 413 pages followed by a couple of adverts. Still an attractive copy of this early printing of the noted work that shares observations on travel to the West including California and Colorado and to New England as well.
