In 200 pages, well-illustrated throughout with black-and-white photos, line drawings & color plates. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1949, this hardcover book has green publisher's cloth over boards with a black & green embossed fish design to front & lettering to spine. Condition is Very Good: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages off-white with modest tanning, heavier to endpapers. Only flaws are external including a heavily bumped top-outer corner of front board & rubbing to all extremities, with some cloth fraying at lower corners & heel of spine. The partially clipped DJ (with $4.00 price intact on front flap) is Poor, missing most of upper spine & a chunk off lower, front flap detached, but present, light creases & many small chips; nicely preserved now in new mylar cover.
