Black Creek Ranch is a romance novel by American author, Jackie Merritt, and part of the American Heroes; Against All Odds series. Helicopter pilot, Drew LeBeau is being forced by her brothers to sell the family ranch to developer, Nick Orion. So when she gets a chance to fly him there to show him what a loss this will be, she grabs it. Unfortunately, mechanical problems oblige a landing and three nights at Black Creek Ranch together with this grumpy, rude, obnoxious but also very sexy workaholic male. Nick is angry and impatient to get back, but the enforced inactivity starts to change his view of things, and he notices there is more to Drew than being impetuous and irritating. This is a delightfully sweet sexy romance with a feisty, sassy, independent heroine and a sensitive, persistent hero. The plot may be classic, but Merritt executes it with flair and style; her characters have depth and appeal and her dialogue is credible; a few hot sex scenes add to the enjoyment. This is Merritt at her best.
