Copyright by Nicholas L. Brown and S, J. Wegman. Small quarto (approx. 6 1/2" wide by 10" tall). Cream cloth spine over blue-gray boards (worn at corners) with gilt spine titles (faded) and gilt desgn on top cover. xx [2] 23-264 pages.This edition is limited to 1250 numbered copies, 775 of which are for America. This copy is un-numbered, instead bearing an inscription on the limitation page to Bruce Grant by the publisher, Nick Brown. On the facing page there are two more inscriptions to Bruce Grant, one by the 2nd copyright holder, Samuel J. Wegman, and the other signed "Sam", likely the translator, Samuel Putnam. Bruce Grant bookplate on front paste-down endpaper. Front hinge starting. A bit of foxing on last four pages. No dust jacket. Bruce Grant was a newspaperman, and the author of 50 books. 040414A
