About This Item
Entwicklung Einer Revolutionaren Massenorganisation. Rote Steine Propaganda, BLACK PANTER PARTY - 1970. measures about 8" x 5.75" inches. 78 pages. Scarce first edition pamphlet in orginal yellow wrappers with a prominent Party's black panther emblem on the front cover. This pamphlet printed by German communists features a German transcription of an interview with Eldridge Cleaver. It also serves as a primer on the BPP to German audiences, introducing major figures, laying out the Party's 10 point program, and their political revolutionary philosophy. After being paroled, Cleaver met Huey Newton and Bobby Seale, who had just founded the Black Panther Party in Oakland, California. Cleaver soon became the party's minister of information. the Black Panther Party propaganda grew under his direction from an Oakland-based organization into an international one with chapters in 48 states in North America and support groups in Japan, China, France, England, Germany, Sweden, Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uruguay. Inside pages a bit tonned due to poor quality of the paper. Covers still bright yellow, with a few subtle markings, overall in very good condition. At the time that this description is being written, no copies are recorded in American institutions. OCLC search results are at best an estimate and can vary over time.
