This is the 9th title in the classic Black Stallion series. Hard cover is brown with white lettering on spine. Bumps, rubs, scuffing, shelf wear, sunning to boards. DJ has some shelf wear, rubbing, scuffing, bumping, creasing, in a mylar cover. Pages show light signs of loving use. Some water staining to bottom of pages. B/w illustrations by Harold Eldridge. When his wild black stallion revolts against the routine and schedule of stable life, becoming a killer and a threat, a plane crash thwarts Alec's plans to give the Black a free run in the desert and brings danger to both boy and horse. .
