Grey pictorial paper wraps, printed in black; [vi], [7]-96pp. A straight and handsome copy, 5" split to front joint, minor tear at head of spine, wrappers browned at edges, internally clean: Very Good.

One of the Railway Library series, the paperbacks that "made [Kipling's] name in India and, soon enough, in England and America" (ODNB). The first and second editions of 1889 were published in Allahabad. LIVINGSTON 36.
