Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 1977. Hardcover. Near Fine/very good. 506, [2] p.; 24 cm. Black cloth with black-on-red spine title. Red endpapers. Dust jacket. Publisher's advertisement on back cover. The author examines the impact of and reaction to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the federal fair-employment practices statute. He concludes that, although there had been some gains, unions and employers were fighting the reforms intended by the law. Book is in Near Fine Condition: top page edges slightly soiled; otherwise, clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Very Good Condition: spine is slightly faded; closed 2-cm. tear from lower edge of back section; corners rubbed; clean and bright.
