New York: Hastings House, 1958.. 1958.. Very good. - Octavo, navy blue cloth titled in gilt on the spine, in a dust wrapper. The book is slightly cocked. The dust jacket is soiled & lightly spotted with the spine slightly darkened & the top edge chipped. There is a short tear & a crease to the top edge of the rear panel. x & 500 pages with an errata slip mounted on the rear endpaper. There is an owner's inscription on the half-title & the endpapers are lightly foxed with light offsetting to the front endpaper. Illustrated with black-and-white vignettes & with a folding map in a pocket mounted on the rear pastedown. Very good in a good dust wrapper. <p>First edition.<p>Signed by the author on the half-title.
