The history of a property in Bristol, Rhode Island which borders on Narragansett Bay and has been under continuous cultivation since 1680. The book contains many photographs illustrating the various eras since it was bought in 1895 by Augustus VanWickle, who named it Blithewold. The photos depict life on this estate-from horses, buggies and buckboards, to Simplex, Locomobiles and modern station wagons-and always a yacht moored off the private dock in the harbor. Minor shelf wear to dust jacket. Book will be shipped with Brodart archival cover protecting the dust jacket.
