About This Item

Middletown: Wesleyan University Press, 1975. 1st edition, full gray cloth, with illustrated dust jacket. The Library of Congress copy, representing the very earliest form of the book. Appropriately noted as "Library of Congress Duplicate" on the FEP, and officially deaccessioned. The author's third trade publication. "The sources of Charles Wright's book BLOODLINES are autobiographical, but the poems are not simply remembrances of times past . . . they are virtuosic recreations in image and sound of the sources themselves" (from the jacket notes). Very little wear to the complete (not price clipped) jacket. A fine copy in the scarce cloth binding with very collectable and unique provenance.
