Malcolm Cowley's first book of poetry, under the same title, stayed out of print after it made its appearance in 1929. This reissue includes the 50 poems in that edition, plus additional poems; 17 from his "The Dry Season" and 19 more. Also with author's prose "Notes" in places, setting the tone for what follows. --- In blue paper-covered boards backed in grey cloth, with spine titling in black and silver; blue topstain. Volume wrapped in jacket with Sandy Noyes photographic portrait of the author to back flap. --- A clean, tightly-bound, bright copy. Price-clipped dust jacket with a couple of tears and penciling to front flap, else intact and bright; protected in removable archival mylar protector.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; x, 149 pages .
