About This Item

A Near Fine copy with blue paper boards with a touch of sunning to the top edge of the boards in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket. Lawrence Powell began this book in 1941 at age 35 but put it aside feeling it was not to his complete liking. It wasn't until he had retired as the librarian for the University of California at Los Angeles that he revisited the manuscript, reworked it, and finally deemed it worthy of being published in1977. This stories in this collection are a tender youthful celebration of life and love and was worth the wait.
