Published in Cooperation with The Friends of Bodie. Pictorial Wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is securely stapled. 47 pp. The story of the California town of Bodie which began to grow as a silver mining town in the late 1870s a Virginia City's mines began to decline. Bodie at one time boasted 8000 residents. Most of the population consisted of mining camp men in the early days with all the vices that came with them men. The town later settled down but as the mines declined, and fires destroyed much of the wooden town, Bodie declined until a final fire in 1932 destroyed much of the remaining town. A clean pristine copy.
