Boston: Houghton, Osgood & Co., 1880. Hardcover. Good. Previous owner's name to front preliminary endpapers. Moderately scuffed and soiled boards. Text is a bit tanned but clean. Sunning to spine. Corners and edges are chipping and worn through to cardboard. Tissue guard for illustrated frontispiece, torn out. Illustrated. 202 pp with advertisements to rear of book. Solid binding. This is book #4 of the author's travelogue series. Horace Scudder was a Boston native who was famous for his editorship of the Riverside Magazine for Young People. Scudder wrote two series. The first series tells of the Bodley family adventures, 1848 to 1852. The second series outlines the adventures of the Bodley grandchildren in the early 1880's. Also by author, "The Bodleys on Wheels," "The Bodleys Telling Stories," "Doings of the Bodley Family in Town and Country," " Stories from my Attic," "Dream Children," and "Seven Little People and their Friends,"
