Describes growing up in the Osaka area as the only girl among five brothers. It contains extensive discussion of Yukichi's experience working in the "water-trade" (mizu-shobai); commercialized host/hostess clubs. Yukichi worked as a host in an onabe club (onabe are biological females who identify as male or present themselves as male).
