London: Ward, Lock, 1930. Reissue. Hardcover. Fine/very good. Hardcover in red cloth lettered in black.246 pp. plus publisher's ads at rear. No date but c.1930 based on list of Wallace titles facing title page. A fine, bright copy in original dust jacket, color illustation on front panel bright, some soiling to the white portions of the spine strip and rear panel. Lighthearted novel featuring Joe "Bones" Pole and his uncle Frank, first introduced to Wallace readers in "Sanders Of The Rivers". In this piece, Bones goed into business soon after WWI and is prepared to finance, well anything. All the financial cutthroats in The City are on his tail but they achieve nothing but further enriching him.
