A good miniature 18th century full leather binding. 16mo. 3.75" x 2.5" x 1.5" (9.5cm x 6.0cm x 3.5cm). Dark maroon calf. Spine with raised bands. Edges rubbed and rounded. Marbled paste-downs. Endpapers absent. Title-page soiled and chipped. Clear English text on lightly toned and soiled paper. Bound with "The Whole Book Of Psalms...1773" . Ownership inscriptions for: "John Kibble July 16th 1814 , Walsall, Staffordshire, England" & "Tettenhall, Marthe Riley, Staffordshie." ** Family history records show that: "Martha Reiley was born in 1780 in Coventry, Warwickshire, her mother, Jane, was 27. She married John Kibble on 8 May 1800 in Tettenhall, Staffordshire. They had one child during their marriage. She died on 10 January 1857 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, having lived a long life of 77 years." ; "John Kibble was born in 1774 in Gnosall, Staffordshire.He died on 9 September 1835 at the age of 61."
