NY: Dodge. Two volumes. 4to, pp. 427, 420. Tan leather, stamped in gilt, AEG. Ex library. Illustrated by the author. One hundred full-color plates tipped in, with 1,000 drawings in text. Charts of British woodwork styles, woods used, etc. Covers little worn at corners and ends of spine, front hinge tender in Vol. I, o/w VG. The periods and styles covered include Chippendale, late Colonial America, Georgian, Regence and Louis XV French, Louis XVI, Directoire and Empire, and Georgian. Most of the color illustrations are of extremely ornate, if not downright gaudy, pieces.
