Clean burgundy cloth boards with gold lettering on spine, blind-stamped circular decoration on cover. No fading or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound, pages are clean, with red top-stained upper text block page edges (small spot to top page edges - size of a navy bean) . Illustrated endpapers. No names or bookplates. Illustrated with wonderful photographs, drawings. Illustrated by Lynn Bogue Hunt. 533 pages + 10 page index. Clean jacket is not price clipped, unchipped, one tiny closed edge tear; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Often referred to as "The Duck Hunter's Bible", this book is considered Mr. Heilner's greatest achievement. Superbly illustrated with sixteen color plates and many drawings by Lynn Bogue Hunt and with photographs, this volume is considered the greatest work on duck and goose shooting that has ever appeared..
