About This Item

Birregurra: Compendium Pty Ltd, 1976. First Edition. Paperback. Birregurra, Compendium Pty Ltd, 1976. Quarto, xii, 132 pages with numerous illustrations plus 8 pages of colour plates (some being from drawings or paintings by the authors). Colour-pictorial card covers creased and rubbed; mild signs of use; a presentable copy. A lengthy inscription by Neil Douglas on the front free endpaper is signed by him and the author as well. 'There are those who like their Beauty fashionable, classic, ordered, tame, 'Beautiful', civilised, sophisticated, universal.

There are those who like their Beauty wild, careless of man, or his preferences, unexpected, challenging, primeval, regional.

Let's not confuse these two approaches in Australia. Both are beautiful.

But you have to fight like buggary [sic] to save the second. Neil & Abbie'.
