About This Item

Aston, Birmingham: John Wright and Co. Ltd. Near Fine. 1938. First Edition. Hardcover. With illustrations in colour and black & white of gas stoves and cook tops throughout, each printed page is separated by a lined page for taking notes, dark green cloth binding with title on front cover that has faded, a nice clean copy. "THE BOOK OF GAS COOKERS"has been produced for the exclusive use of GasOfficials and Showroom Staffs. The first partof the book is devoted to technical data, whilethe latter pages show a comprehensive range ofcookers and gas appliances for domestic-and largescale cooking. The technical section has been carefully compiled to give the most complete information upon the various aspects of cooking by gas, and we feel that, for this reason alone, this new publication will be kept as a permanent reference in the showroom. The section showing gas cookers, hotplates, finishes, etc. , provides the most complete catalogue we have issued for many years, and we offer the "Book of Gas Cookers" as the vade-mecum to be referred to when the subject is gas cookers.; 225 x 145mm; 78 pages .
