Before William Morris created his Kelmscott press and designed his own types, he and Edward Burne-Jones attempted to collaborate on an edition of THE EARTHLY PARADISE together. They eventually gave up, in part, because they could not find type that was in harmony with the illustrations. Includes numerous illustrations and sketches by Edward Burne-Jones.
