London: Frederick Warne. Hard Cover. No date but circa 1890s. Slim, large 8vo. in color litho paper covered boards with design of three children waving to a passing train in the countryside. Unpaginated (26 pps.) Illustrated with full and partial page engravings of trains, boatsa nd ships, travel scenes. Front and rear pastedowns have illustrated British ads (front is for Robinson's Patent Barley additive for milk, rear is for Monkey Brand soap) Rear cover is decorative ad for Cadbury's Cocoa. A tight example, some rounding to the corners of the boards, with hinges neatly reinforced with old paper tape, red cloth spine strip also neatly reinforced with a narrow strip of the same material. Offsetting to the first and last leaves and with occasional to a few of the pages (significant on two of them.) An attractive, rather scarce title.
