Occasional light moisture stains on top edge not affecting text. Includes "Treating of the Rights of War & Peace," with annotations digested into the body of every chapter, an Epistle to the Reader, and Preface. This copy lacks the additional engraved frontispiece. Translated into English by William Evats. First complete English translation of Grotius' seminal De Jure Belli ac Pacis.
