Privately Published, Sharon, CT, 1897. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition. Book An alphabetical compilation of vital records for Sharon taken, according to the preface, from "the first twenty books of land record in the Town Hall vault." Additional entries came from "the records of the Congregational church, the first church founded in Sharon," as well as the records of weddings from the lists kept by several ministers. Most of the listings are births and marriages since "very few deaths are recorded in either the land or church record books." Size: 9" -11" - Small Quarto (Sm. 4to). 143 pages. Item Type: Book. Text block is tight and unmarked, though the pages have toned with age. Hardbound in black textured cloth over boards with embossed rules and device on the front cover. Title in bright gilt on the spine. No foxing in this copy. Page edges very slightly spotted or marked. Quantity Available: 1.
