Notably, it includes the announcement of the creation of the Portland, ME medical school and the first printing of instructions for mouth to mouth recessitation for drowning victims. Light shelf/edge wear, spine label lacking, bookseller tickets at front pastedown, light foxing/toning at preliminaries, small chip at title page, ownership signature at title page, else tight, bright, and unmarred. Halfbound, brown leather spine and tips, gilt decorative elements, four raised bands, marbeled paper boards. 8vo. 652pp plus Index.
