Original quarter vellum binding with blue cloth covered boards, black spine label, gilt stamped armorial crest to the front board; top edge gilt other edges uncut, red silk page marker. cloth binding with gilt lettering, fine with minimal wear. Binding fine, no noticeable wear; contents clean and tight, no inscriptions, no foxing or spotting. Original black slipcase fine with slight wear only to lower corners. A fine tight copy, of this finely produced book. (The Yale Editions of the Private Papers of James Boswell).
