About This Item

1829 Botanic Garden by Maund BOTANICAL Flowers Botany Illustrated Gardens 2v

Benjamin Maund was a 19th-century British naturalist who, beginning in 1825, published one of the most important and desirable works on British flowers. 'The Botanic Garden' was a regularly printed periodical that illustrated the flower and plants found in British gardens, particularly the Royal Gardens.

According to Dunthorne in 'Great Flower Books', Maund's "Botanic Garden" is

"A delightful work, not only full of useful and practical information, but illustrated with most charming plates carefully engraved and colored."

These first two volumes of 'The Botanic Garden' includes nearly 150+ hand-colored illustrations of flowers, leaves, plants, and more!
