Illustrated with 24 exquisitely hand-colored plates, showing 4 different plants per plate (#961-1056); each protected with tissue . Tall square 8vo, wide margins, attractively bound in contemporary 3/4 polished calf over marbled boards; gilt-decorated spine with leather labels and raised bands (lightly dulled), t.e.g. London: Groombridge and Sons, no date, circa 1837. A near fine copy with very clean plates.<br/><br/>
