Candleriggs, Glasgow: Hobbs, 1904. First edition, limited issue. . Quarter-calf & red cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front cover designed in gilt. Marbled end papers. Frontispiece and numerous illustrations. Discoloration to end papers, some light foxing, small snag to the centre of the spine, a clean very good copy. This is copy #1 one of 50 special copies, with a hand-written colophon initialed GH, and "With the Author's Compliments" written beneath. A short review of the book, clipped from a newspaper, is laid in.
