French, has a cover engraving of two lovers embracing. 41. Coming Home, or The Cruel War is Over (1865), with words and music by Charles Carroll Sawyer, has a decorated border. 44. J. H. McNaughton's Mollie Graem (1868) has a snow scene cover of a waiting man writing "Mollie" in the snow. 46. Badarzewska's A Maiden's Prayer (1861) shows a pious woman kneeling in prayer.

No. 31, Col. Ellsworth's Funeral March, is about Elmer Ephraim Ellsworth, a friend of Abraham Lincoln, who was commanding officer of the 11th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He was killed shortly after his regiment began the occupation of Alexandria, Virginia. Noticing a Confederate flag flying above an inn, Ellsworth and three of his men climbed to the roof to cut it down. On their way down, the innkeeper shot Ellsworth through the chest, and was in turn killed by Corporal Francis Brownell.
