About This Item
Boston, Chicago: W.A. Wilde Company, 1912. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Copeland, Charles. A story of how the Chipmunk Patrol was started, what they did and how they did it. First edition. Aside from some faint soiling to the endpapers and flyleaves and a bit of browning, this is a very clean copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are flat and true. Binding is generally tight but does show through in some of the gutters. There is no dust jacket, so the boards do show their age. The front board has some bumping to the corners as well as some general soiling, and the pictorial plate is worn at the edges. The back board is likewise bumped and soiled and also has a 1" wide white scrape from top to bottom. The spine cover is quite worn on the top and bottom edges, and while the lettering is still discernible it has faded a bit. This collectible, very good, first edition copy is protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
