Beige cloth over boards with printed multi-color pictorial design and titles on front and spine; pale green on white pictorial (Elwell) end papers; tissue-guarded frontispiece. Generally clean covers with light smudges; rubbed, frayed and lightly stained on upper spine, partially effacing title; few small, light stains on rear cover at top fore corner and 3 small abrasions in same location; pictorial cover art is somewhat rubbed and faded but still clear; tightly bound; generally bright and clean interior with occasional light foxing; 4 leaves with short closed tears at top edges, including 2 color plates; few leaves in adverts at rear are unopened at fore edge. Frontispiece and 7 full page plates in color by R. Farrington Elwell. 12mo, 392 pp.
