Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Signed by Elmore Leonard on the first page of his contribution ("The Hard Way"). Among the earliest appearances by the American novelist, short story writer, and screenwriter. His earliest work, published in the 1950s, were Westerns, but Leonard (1925-2013) went on to specialize in crime fiction and suspense thrillers. Octavo. Original brown paper-covered boards, with dark brown and yellow titles. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with some general rubbing; else crisp, clean, and very good.
