Half black leather and green pebbled cloth, gilt lettering on spine with blindstamped designs and gilt bands, 16mo, viii, 375 pp. First American edition, originally published by Bentley of London in 1872. Minor foxing to preliminaries, owners initials on front pastedown, no other marks in book, binding tight. Covers show very light edge wear, minor soiling to edges of text block. A rather handsome copy of an uncommon title, OCLC records two copies of this edition. Book condition VG.
