About This Item
Chicago, Illinois: Moody Press, 1947. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. This book of 317 pages is a biography of an American businessman best known for his founding of Quaker Oats Company in 1901. What sets this biography apart from many others is that the author spent so much time with the subject during the final years of the subject's life. Volume itself has red cloth covers with sharp gilt lettering on the spine and front cover. At the bottom of the front cover there is a bump about midway between the spine and the corner. There is also wear at the head and tail of the spine. The top of the pages are red, the same color as the book covers. There is light age toning on the inside of the covers. All in all, a quite nice copy, given its age. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
