Burgundy cloth over boards blind-stamped title on front, dull and rubbed gilt titles to spine, clean with whitish spot near upper front corner, edges rubbed, 10 degree forward lean to spine; inner hinge cracked, sewn binding remains tight and solid. Full color frontis by Thomas Fogarty.Tear to lower inner edge of title page. Pages toned, stain to upper edge of pp 165-169, otherwise quite clean, no underlining or highlighting. Mary Roberts Rinehart (1876-1958) has been called by some the 'American Agatha Christie'.
