Large octavo, 321 pages; G; Half-bound green marbled paper boards with black spine and gilt lettering; Boards have light shelfwear overall, slight bending at corners and along top edge, and rubbing along hinges and spine; Textblock shows light age toning to edges and interior, occasional light foxing interiorly, occasional light chipping to fore-edges, light to moderate damp-staining pp.11-18, previous owner's index to front paste down, occasional notes to interior/pagination to corners penned in 19th century hand. RWO. Collection of 43 printed pamphlets bound together by prominent South Carolina lawyer, William E. Earle, relating to 13 cases involving Earle as attorney from 1872-1874. The 43 pamphlets (including 1 duplicate) include cases relating to contracts made during the Civil War, taxation of railroad companies, railroad stockholder suits, and probate. 1365069.
