About This Item
Bristol: Bristol University, 1913. Hardcover. Very Good. pp 284 No 8, December 1913, Vol III - No 13, June 1915. A bound volume of the Bristol University student magazine, The Bristol Nonesuch from the period just before and during the early years of the First World War. The text alternates student satire and reportage with photographic plates of graduates, sports teams, new buildings and, latterly, casualties of the war with interesting terminal advertisements. Some sport is had with the suffragette cause before the outbreak of war although the number of contributions from female undergraduates is notable. Bound in grey cloth; scarce. Very Good 1913
