Tight, pristine first edition of this extremely unusual memoir by a British Labour politician (1941-2010) -- 4th Baron Acton and Baron Acton of Bridgnorth -- who marries an Iowa academic and splits his time between London and Cedar Rapids. Boldly signed and inscribed by him in black ballpoint on the title page: "For David / Best wishes / Richard Acton / September 1998.
