Colour & B&W illustrations. 8vo (9" x 6 1/2"), light blue paper with white lettering and triple ruled boarders over boards with compass rose, illustrated with 8 glossy plates in colour and 14 illustrations in black & white, pictorial dust jacket (unclipped), 47, [48] pages. Admiral Edward Ratcliffe Garth Russell Evans, 1st Baron Mountevans, KCB, DSO, SGM (1880 - 1957) was a Royal Navy officer and Antarctic explorer.<br /> <br /> Overall about FINE CONDITION: Cloth tight and without annotations. Some edgewear to cloth. Dust jacket is unclipped, bright and clean with minute chiplets at corners. Very light and uniform toning to paper but not to the excellent color + B&W illustrations. No previous owner or remainder marks.
