About This Item
Ardrossan: Arthur Guthrie & Sons Ltd, 1935. First Edtion. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾. N/a. 167pp. No date. Circa 1935. I found the date '1931' mentioned in the text, but there may be a later one. First edition. 8vo. sized. Very scarce. Copac records only 2 copies in British libraries. A font of fascinating information on Brodick and the Isle of Arran with many photographic reproductions to illustrate the text. A former owner's ink name to the head of the front endpaper. Both front board corners bumped. Light or slight splitting in parts along the rear joint. Very occasional scattered finger (and other) soiling - not heavy. Rubbing to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine with light loss. A well repaired 2.5cm long short tear to the lower margin of page 47/8. Slight creasing to the extreme lower corners - caused by a bump to the text block. A good plus (or possibly very good minus), tight essentially clean copy of this scarce and fascinating publication.
